December 13 2005: 
Common Thread records at Froggy radio station for the February edition of Hometown Country hosted by Leapin Leah Klocko. Common Thread had a great time hanging out with Leah and recording some original tunes.

 November 12 2005: 
Matt takes a shot at competing in Nashville Star. Matt had an outstanding performance in which judges said was most the memorable and unique for that day. Matt advanced to the next round the following day where he was video taped for TV producers of Nashville Star. Matt is part of select group that is waiting on a call to see if he will advance to the next round for the TV show. Matt has been receiving weekly calls from Nashville concerning his music. Congratulations to Matt on making it to the advanced round competing against 20,000 national participants.

 October 2005: 
Common Thread is writing new material and doing some recording in the Melody Lane Studios. The boys are currently doing the college tour determining which campus they will provide music for during the next fours years.

 September 2005: 
With over a hundred bands competing in the WVAQ Morgantown radio station contest, Common Thread made it to the final round. The 12 finalists were announced on the morning show Sept 6th. Common thread will be competing on Thursday Sept 22nd at the Metropolitan Theatre in Morgantown.

 June 2005: 
Common Thread makes national publication in Performing Songwriter magazine (June) by appearing in an ad for the New Song Music Festival in Washington D.C. Common Thread will be attending the festival the last week of August.

 June 11, 2005: 
Common Thread wins Battle of the Bands in Canonsburg. Thanks to Vianna Bandi for hosting the event.

 April 2005: 
Common Thread take first place in preliminary round for the Acoustic Challenge hosted at Rock Bottom.

 Mar 24, 2005: 
As a result of some very enthusiastic reviews from GarageBand.com members, "Never Came True" will be Track of the Day at GarageBand.com.



 Nov 5, 2004: 
Look out West Virginia! Common Thread takes first place in battle of the bands in Morgantown. Special thanks to Jen and WV for the invitation.

Common Thread get their own domain (www.commonthreadband.com).

 Jun 12, 2004: 
Common Thread completes their 2nd CD "Luck of the Draw" at Audible Images studio.

Special thanks to Hollis and Jay for their talent and hard work. C Thread continues to write new material that is really cool. The new CD contains eleven original compositions.

 Jun 7, 2004: 
Common Thread gets the call to open for their first national act at Mr. Small’s theater. They will open for Matt Nathanson and Ingram Hill on Friday July 9th.

 May 15, 2004: 
Common Thread takes 1st place in Battle of the Bands at Trinity High School.

 Apr 30, 2004: 
Performed at the Border’s South Hills location. It was standing room only again. 4 month old Skylar Hall showed up wearing her Common Thread t-shirt. Skylar is officially the youngest C Thread fan. We also had another special guest: 5 year old Zack danced before the entire crowd for a free CD. It was a festive night that included a great performance by Common Thread. New photos will be uploaded soon from that night. Special thanks to all the DDI folks we have seen at the shows. You’re probably getting tired of hearing Roger brag about this band.

 Apr 29, 2004: 
Performed at the Concert Discovery Day for hundreds of students at Trinity Middle school. It was the first outdoor gig of the year. The response was great and the band had a blast.

 Apr 1, 2004: 
Common Thread will begin work on their 2nd CD.

 Mar 10, 2004: 
Common Thread invades Pittsburgh at the Hard Rock Café. Thread opens for "Moving On" at this sold out venue in front of a very energetic crowd. The atmosphere was perfect for a night of original music. Thread sold many CD’s and is building an ever growing fan base. A special thanks to everyone who attended, all the nice compliments, and the encouraging emails.

Following this event Ken shaved off his hair and donated it to "Locks of Love", way to go Ken!

 Feb 27, 2004: 
Common Threads’ first appearance at Borders Books South Hills. The venue was great, and the performance was even better. Thread played for 2 hours in front of a very receptive crowd of 100 plus, in which they pleasantly entertained a trans-generational crowd from 7 to 70. Aaron’s Irish jig left a lasting memory for all onlookers. Thanks to everyone for coming out and showing their support. Thanks to all who purchased CD’s.

 Dec 31, 2003: 
Common Thread played before an energetic crowd to ring in the new-year during the Rock-A-Thon at the Uptown theatre. All the bands done a great job and was a good opportunity to hang out with some local musicians.

Opened for "Circle of Friends" at the Uptown Theatre in front of an energetic crowd of 150. Special Thanks to Donnie Cameron for the opportunity.

 Oct 30, 2003: 
Played the Halloween bash at Carmella'a Pizza. This was an outdoor gig where Common Thread was simulcast on the Big Screen. Common Thread could be seen and heard for up to three blocks away.

Played the Arts Festival at Trinity Middle School

 Summer of 2003: 
Common Thread was a regular at the South Side Restaurant on Tuesday nights. On one occasion they had an incredible Jam with Parallel Roads. Good luck to Parallel Roads who are presently in Venice California pursuing their rock-n-roll dreams.
