Common Thread reformed as a duo, has been called the freshest thing out of Pittsburgh by local 3-time Grammy winning producer Jay Dudtz. The writing and performance exhibited by these two college musicians is astounding. Common Thread has been very active on the music scene for the past five years writing, recording, and producing original material. Common Thread has opened for national touring bands and won several musical competitions by prevailing over bands twice their age. Common Thread’s music is a mix of Funk/Folk/Jazz with intelligent lyrics that puts them on the font page of today’s World Music.
